VALUABLE OBJECT AND LASTING IMPRESSION
For English, we were assigned to write about two things that were really involved in our life. One of them was a valuable object and an event that left a lasting impression. For the valuable object, we wrote about a certain object that we have that means a lot to us and has an interesting back story towards it. For the lasting impression, we wrote about an event that happened in our lives that really left a mark in our life. Click the words, "Valuable Object" and "Event That Left a Lasting Impression" for more info!
We were also assigned to create a poem titled, "I am poem". If you would like to read it, feel free to click here: I Am Poem
TED TALK
For our Ted Talk, we had to think of a topic that should be brought to life and we had to explain we we should bring that topic to life. We had to use ethos, pathos, and logos to incorporate it into the talk. Also, we used supporting evidence to help the cause. Here is the link to my Ted Talk. Click here: Ted Talk.
SONG AND MUSIC VIDEO
Also, in English we were assigned to pick a Social Justice topics to research on and make a poem/song out of it. First, we wrote a poem that related to our Social Justice and added the five senses to give it a little spark. Then, we separated the song into stanzas, added a chorus, and added a beat to it. Next, we finalized our poem/songs and presented it to the class. When we presented, we picked the top five songs that we liked and decided to do a music video on those five. The class was divided into five groups to work on those chosen songs. Here are the links to the music video and my poem/song lyrics, POEM/SONG and MUSIC VIDEO.
Survival Journal Project
The survival journal is something that we had to create based on what scenario we were given. For my scenario, I was a person who got chosen for a sea race to the Cook Islands and I crash on a shoal as I'm headed to the location. I then had to swim to a nearby island that had shark infested waters all around and explain my journey throughout the story. The journal basically describes our life on wherever you go stranded. So for me, I got stranded on an island. Also, we had to create 3 artifacts that corresponded with our topic. First, we made a typed version of the journal, made any corrections if we needed to, then transferred it over to what we called the creative journal. The creative journal is where we designed it however we wanted and the writing could have been printed out or straight handwriting. For my journal I wanted to do a burning affect to it, to make it look old and dirty. Click on WRITTEN JOURNAL to see the typed version of the journal and here are pictures of the journal and my artifacts>>>
